Join us for the 3rd Grade Parent Orientation Night! Meet your child’s teachers: Ms. Green (ELA/Social Studies), Mrs. Haehnel (Math/Science), Mrs. Shirah (Science/Social Studies), Ms. Stevens (ELA), Ms. Timme (Math), Mrs. Roberts (Math/Science), and Mrs. Yesland (ELA/Social Studies). Learn about our curriculum expectations, including the Marek Code of Conduct that emphasizes respect, enthusiasm, and striving for excellence. Don’t forget to order your spirit shirts by September 20th! We look forward to working together for a successful school year.

  8. Math Astros-Three times a week MUT (Math Unit Test): Timed:1 hr. and 15 minutes Five throughout the year CBA (Content Based Assessment): Timed: 2 hours Test # 1-- 11-21-2013 Test # 2-- 5-28-2013

  9. Science Steps Twice a week Benchmark Two tests- November and May

  10. Social Studies Research-based Integrated within all content areas throughout the year.

  12. STAAR Simulation Tests Two reading tests- November and February One math test-February Timed-4 hours Administered in homeroom (These are in preparation for the STAAR)

  13. State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) Test—Math and Reading April test Timed-4 hours Administered in homeroom
