  3. WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS? • Headaches in the front of your head • Trouble breathing through your nose • Facial pain • Drainage thick and colored • Pain in the upper teeth • Fever

  4. WHAT CAN I DO? • Drink lots of fluids. • Avoid smoke. • Blow your nose gently. • Take a hot shower.

  5. OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINE • DECONGESTANTS help open up your sinuses but can make you feel like you have had too much caffeine (little hyper). • ANTIHISTAMINES dry up drainage but can make you a little sleepy. • Many products are a combination of both and are often a good choice.

  6. WHEN TO SEE A MEDICAL PROVIDER • Over the counter products not helping relieve sinus pain or pressure after 2-4 days. • A cold that hasn’t gotten better after 10-14 days. • Sinus headache or facial pain is sever and not responding to pain-relievers. • Vision is blurry with swelling around eyes. • After 5-7 days of a cold, the color of mucus becomes yellow-green and you have a fever.
