  1. LOGGING IN: When you click on the I-Link link, you will be prompted to this log in page. Please select student. You will then be taken to a screen that asks you to either Register ( for first time users) or Log In (for those who have already created an I-Link account).

  2. REGISTERING: If you are a first time user, you will be taken to a screen like this that prompts you to fill in your student information. Your UIN number can be found on your I-card. Please use your Illinois email when registering for an account

  3. NAVIGATING THE HOMESCREEN On the right hand side of your screen you will see various shortcuts for searching jobs, attending events and updating your information On the top of your screen, you will see various tabs that link to the many things you can do on I-Link

  4. GETTING STARTED: It is really important that all of your information on I-Link is up to date and accurate. Click on the “my profile” tab at the top of your home screen, and then navigate through each screen, making sure you enter information accurately. Complete this information for the personal and academic tab

  5. UPLOADING RESUMES AND COVER LETTERS: Clicking the “Resumes and Documents” Tab will allow you to upload resumes and cover letters that you will use when applying for positions. You can upload many documents by clicking “Add New” at the bottom of the screen. Make sure you label these different documents appropriately. You can also choose which resume should be your default resume

  6. SEARCHING EMPLOYERS: Clicking on the “Employers” tab at the top of your home screen will take you to a directory of companies. Enter a Keyword to search for a specific company, or filter the industry you are interested in. You can mark employers as “Favorites” if they are an employer you are very interested in to save you time when searching. Clicking on the Employer will pull up an employer overview that lets you read a little more about what they do.

  7. SEARCHING EMPLOYERS: Clicking on an employer, and then selecting the “Current Job Postings” tab will allow you to see all of the open positions listed. You can then apply for the position by clicking on the one which interests you. The legend on the side shows your application status.

  8. SEARCHING FOR POSITIONS You can also search for positions by clicking the shortcut on the right hand side of your home screen labeled “Campus Interviews I Qualify For”. That link will take you to this screen, where you can play with the options to search for positions for which you are qualified!
