Marsh Creek Site 4 • Concrete retainer • wall creating a channeling effect that is contributing to undercutting of the bank on the left side of the creek • Bank erosion poses a threat to drainage structures, sewer pipes, trees, and most importantly stream ecology • The result is several dredge spoils that have formed on the left bank exposing tree roots and disconnecting a headwall. • From upstream POV, the left bank is in serious need of restoration. Rip rap combined with vegetation could be used to lessen the impact that large flows have on this area.
