1. Sango Elementary Monday, November 28, 2011 Reading Our story this week is “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.” Test Friday The reading skill is sequencing. The vocabulary words are: somber, fate, steed, fearless, magnified, glimmer, lingers. Language Arts Review plural and possessive nouns. We will discuss troublesome words and how to use them. Math Students will calculate the greatest common factors of a set of numbers and find the least common multiples of a set of numbers. Math Superstars lesson VII is Monday and lesson VIII is due by Friday, December 2nd. Science Students will participate in a culminating STEM challenge that will address many of the standards taught in the second quarter. We will review conduction, convection, and radiation as well as gravity and force. Social Studies We will continue to study chapter 4 (inventions/inventors, industrialization, immigrants and workers rights). Test will be next Tuesday, December 6. The study guide will come home Friday and will be due Monday for us to review and correct. • JUST A REMINDER… • Progress Reports – Wednesday, November 30 • Benchmark II testing will be December 12-16. Please plan for your child to be hear promptly each morning to test. • Holiday Parties – December 19 @1:30. More information coming soon.
