  2. My Introduction  This is my independent study power point on the Eiffel Tower. I have been working on this in my Challenge classroom for a few weeks and now I have finally completed it. I hope you enjoy it! 

  3. Question #1 Why was the Eiffel Tower built? It was built for the anniversiry of the French Revolution. To be exact the 100th anniversiry of the French Revolution. It has turned out to be a huge landmark.

  4. Question #2 How does the wind affect the tower? The wind can make the Eiffel Tower sway if it is strong wind. It might scare you when it starts to sway. However there is no danger when it starts to sway.

  5. Question #3 How did the antenna on the Eiffel Tower save it from being torn down? It saved it because it could send many signals and messages. The antenna could send radio signals. It could also send telegraphs.

  6. Question #4 How was the Eiffel Tower built? The Eiffel Tower has a latice structure and is built with the finest wrought iron. When they built it they focused on weather protection. There are numerous iron pieces that were built in Gustave Eiffel’s factory.

  7. Question #5 Why did many people jump from the tower? The Eiffel Tower is a very romantic area. Since it is very romantic, it attracts many suicidal people. Most of the suicidal people are single.

  8. Question #6 How has the Eiffel Tower withstood natural and man-made disasters? The Eiffel Tower has withstood many disasters. 2 of them were fires. The fires both broke out on the same level. Everyone got out safely and there weren’t any injuries. 2 years later a parachutist was performing and his parachute got caught on the tower. The tragic incident killed him.

  9. Question #7 Why did a man scale the Eiffel Tower? He scaled it because he said people get all geared up with boots, ropes, and tackle just because the beams were a little slippery. Then he said he couldn’t take it anymore so off he went to scale the tower. He also took a 24 pound pot of paint with him.

  10. Question #8 How did the Eiffel Tower loose it’s title of worlds talles building? The tower had it’s title until 1930. The name of the building that took it’s place is the Chrysler Building. Both the Eiffel Tower and the Chrysler Building are standind today.

  11. By looking at my graph, I can infer that many people are familiar with the Eiffel Tower.

  12. My Conclusion After finding all of this information on the Eiffel Tower, it seems much more interesting to me. I hope you enjoyed my power point!
