PROGRAMA DE MEJORES PRÁCTICAS Y LIDERAZGO LOCAL (BLP) • ORIGEN: Se constituye en 1997 como apoyo a la aplicación del Programa Hábitat • ESTRUCTURA: Red global de agencias gubernamentales, autoridades locales, instituciones académicas y de investigación y organizaciones de base • OBJETIVOS • Aumentar la conciencia en los tomadores de decisiones sobre los temas sociales, económicos y medioambientales • Promover políticas y estrategias efectivas para el desarrollo sostenible de los asentamientos humanos • Todo ello mediante la transmisión de información y conocimientos sobre experiencias y soluciones de eficacia probada

SON ACCIONES O INICIATIVAS CON REPERCUSIONES TANGIBLES Y MESURABLES EN CUANTO A LA MEJORA DE LA CALIDAD DE VIDA DE LOS HABITANTES Y DEL MEDIO AMBIENTE DE UNA FORMA SOSTENIBLE
