Nouns. A noun is a word used for naming a person, an animal, a place or a thing. These words are all nouns… bird ladder windowcleaner shop. To decide whether a word is a noun you need to ask yourself, “Does it tell me something’s name?” If the answer is “Yes”, the word is a noun.
