  6. Lessons Learned • Preparation: • Have coffee with your local GOA contacts • Disaster Social Services • very important • train and exercise social services • Response: • Get DSS involved ASAP • Get GOA connected quickly

  7. Lessons Learned • Recovery • Overlooked? • Essential part of Emergency Management • Must be part of Municipal Emergency Plan • Emergency Financial Assistance – not Welfare
