OSSC Operational Objectives • The services offered by OSSC will meet three key objectives: • Provide tangible operating savings and other real benefits to cooperative members; • develop service levels to ensure the long-term viability, sustainability and financial self-sufficiency of the cooperative and its member organizations; and • assist our members and potential members in a timely and professional manner.

Affordable Insurance • NGOs are normally directed by volunteer boards that require liability insurance. • To attract and retain capable staff, NGOs must provide their employees with health benefits • Most NGOs are not large enough to ‘self-insure’, or obtain significant volume discounts and attract larger vendors. • As members of the OSSC you will be able to maximize your coverage based on volume quote.

Insurance Partners • Fraser & Hoytis our broker and rates will be based on information provided. • Each organization applying must be a member in good standing of the Cooperative • Group profile is required with application (Blue Cross is the carrier) • Monthly billing charge to each participating group of approximately $10 + tax.

Three Choices Comprehensive Insurance Packages AD & D Drug Liability Hospitalization Paramedics Dental Life Orthodontist • Coverage: • The new cooperative plan has three tiers coverage: • Gold – REDBs – CBDCs are at this level! • Silver Medium level coverage • Bronze(Scaled down insurance package)

  16. Gold Plan Offers….. • Life Insurance: 3 x salary to a maximum of $250,000 • Accidental Death & Dismemberment: • 3 x salary, to a maximum of $250,000 • Dependent Life Insurance: Spouse $10,000 and each child 5,000

Gold Plan Extended Health Care • Direct Pay Drug Card - $10.00 deductible / prescription drug • Vision care - $150 every 24 months (every 12 months for children under the age of 21) • Eye Exam – Once every 24 months (every 12 months for children under the age of 21) • 100% Semi-private Hospital • Paramedical Services - $500
