Harrison is a sort of genetic superman that breaks his handicaps on television and for a brief time shows the world the beauty of human beings. He rebels against the society and is killed before he has finished his dance.

  10. Theme • Equality- George Bergeron had above-average intelligence so he had a radio implanted in his ear piercing sirens, crashes, and booms go off periodically to hinder his thought process. Ballerinas wear masks to hide their beauty and weights to hinder their grace and strength.

  11. Minor Themes • Rules and Order- There are over 213 amendments to the Constitution. Also there are rules to make everyone equal. There is a United States Handicapper General. • Man vs. Society- Harrison Bergeron escapes and tries to fight society by ripping off the door to the stage and storming on screen.
