  2. What is Tumblr? Tumblr is a micro blogging platform and social network website founded by David Karp and owned by Yahoo! Inc. The service allows users to post multimedia and other content to a short-form blog.

  3. How popular is Tumblr? • 3.8% of the Tumblr users come from France as it is the 19th most popular site in France. • Tumblr is the 18th most popular site in the USA

  4. Why do people use Tumblr? • People use Tumblrto upload blogs of what they do in their daily lives, post pictures, and post videos. • Most of the posts are quotes that they find meaningful or funny, or just general things the user like.

  5. Whose pictures are more popular? USA or France? • France Tumblrusers post things about France such as the multi-colored macaroons, the Eiffel tower, Monte Carlo, Versailles, etc. • People in the U.S. use Tumblr as a variety of different sources including political campaigns.

  6. In the US | GA vs NY • The Tumblrheadquarters are located in the New York, and much of what goes on there are mostly things to either improve or protect Tumblr. • In Georgia, Tumblr users use the site as a marketing tool. Much of which are things that deal with political movements.

  7. Conclusion The U.S. Tumblr may have more users than France, but the French blogs on Tumblr are more popular than the U.S. blogs. With New York being the headquarters of Tumblr, and Georgia being used as a marketing tool, you can see that Tumblr is used very differently across states.
