Forth Junction Project Suggested phasing: Phase 1 – Engineering, environmental, traffic studies, permits, funding Phase 2 – Site preparation for initial phases Phase 3 – Replicated station as temporary interpretive centre and administrative office; enclosed storage facility for large artifacts Phase 4 – Second replicated station as bed and breakfast; ornamental park; creation of not-for-profit corporation Phase 5 – Gathering hall for events and displays; parking lot Phase 6 – Retro bus terminal and heritage tours Phase 7 – Observation platform; 1/8 scale replication of Jubilee 3001

The Forth Junction ProjectAttractor 4 • 1/8 size Replication of theJubilee 4-4-4 3001 ‘The Chinook’ 3001 (the ‘Chinook’) was one of only 5 locomotives of this class designed by CPR specifically for ‘high-speed’ inter-city passenger service including Calgary-Edmonton from 1936 to 1955. This class established the speed record of 181 km/h (112.5mi/hr) in 1937 that was not broken until 1976. All 5 locomotives were scrapped.
