  3. ASSET 1 – Who do I know? • Who do you know? • How well are you connected? • Do you know how to make a connection? • Who knows you? • Connections are all about 3 things – friendliness, ability to engage and give value. • Universal truth of connecting is not who you know but who knows you.

  5. How to connect? • Identify top ten contacts and put one action against each name. • More value you provide them the more responsive they are. • For referrals try and make a 3 way connection over any meal. • Identify 5 friends and meet or call them.

Asset 2 – What do I want? • If you don’t know what you want you’ll probably never get it. • Vital questions – purpose of connecting, which people to connect with, expectations from connections, time required to be dedicated, results achieved so far & what connections have meant to me so far. • Before you get what you want, you have to know what you want and make a game plan to get it.
