PAST CONTINUOUS MINULÝ ČAS PRŮBĚHOVÝ

The past continuous tense describes actions happening over time in the past, often interrupted by another event. We form it using "was" or "were" along with a verb ending in "-ing". For instance, "I was sitting in the park when someone hit me with a ball." This tense is crucial for depicting ongoing activities. It's important to remember that it applies only to long-duration actions. For example, "Thomas was watching TV when somebody called." This guide will help you grasp the nuances of using the past continuous tense effectively.
