  4. 1) Acne vulgaris: • a- May affect palms and soles. • b- Is a disease of sweat glands. • c- Commonly affects the scalp. • d- Is a disease of adolescents. • e- Causes itching which increases by night.

  5. 2) Acne vulgaris is: • Cured by topical steroids. • An infectious disease. • Treated by retinoids in its nodulocystic forms. • A disease affecting skin and mucous membranes. • A disease of sweat glands.

  6. 3) Acne vulgaris is: a- A disease of the pilosebaceous apparatus. b- A disease which commonly affects the face. c- A disease which can be treated by oral tetracyclines. d- All of the above. e- None of the above.

  8. Instructions • Wash • Medicate • Moisturize

Wash • Wash your hands first • Splash your face and neck and any other problem areas with warm water. • guide to shaving • Lather up your hands with your chosen mild cleansing wash or bar. • Gentlywash problem areas with your bare hands. This should take no longer than a few seconds. Rinse gently. • Gently pat dry. Do not rub. • Wait until your skin is completely dry.

  10. Medicate • Wash and dry hands. • If you're just starting the Regimen it's important to start off with a smaller amount of BP to help avoid irritation. Over a 2-4 week period slowly increase the quantity of BP you use until you're using the full amount. • How much Benzoyl Peroxide to apply?

  11. Medicate • Dispense the required amount of BP and spread it on to your face very gently with your fingers. Don't rub. Just allow your fingers to glide over your skin. • Carefully avoid the area around the eyes; • Wait 5-15 minutes for your skin to dry. Do not rinse off the benzoyl peroxide. Once it is applied, you will leave it on the skin.
