Where We Are At - 2007 • Hub of Community in expanding village and hinterland • Integrated Club for all • Building a Brighter Future for Boys and Girls • 26 ‘On-Field’ teams • Community/Cross Community Links • Gateway/Senior Citizens/Wheelers/Boley Fair, etc • Schools Links • Completed purchase of 11 acres of land for development

  12. Parents • Club Development Survey revealed: • Active interest in Clonduff • 85% encourage boys to play sport • 73% encourage girls to play sport • Gaelic games suit both boys and girls • Aware of benefits of sport • Club is vital for community well-being

  13. Facilities • Club Development survey: • 51% rate facilities as average • Improvements required: • additional pitches • handball court • female changing • indoor activity area • disabled accessibility • social activities for older/former members

  14. Youth • Club Development Survey: • 90% say provision is adequate/excellent • Parental interest is vital • More club presence in schools • Most not aware of commitment to Equal Opportunities in Sport

  15. Coach Development • Elite/long term athlete development • Tailored coaching sessions • Develop structured coaching through all age groups • Current structure is good/excellent

Clonduff Coaching Structure • Coaching Development is Dynamic and Integrated • Most coaches in Football (ladies and men’s), Camogie and Hurling have at least Foundation Course • Others working towards this • Most Coaches have Child Protection Certificate • Parents very involved in juvenile coaching • Emphasis placed on health and wellness Coaching Structures Refer to Documents on web page!
