Session 4 – Staying Quit Handling strong urges months or years after quitting • Review your reasons for quitting • There’s not such a thing of “just one cigarette” • Ride out the desire to smoke. It will pass • Avoid alcohol • Manage weight by eating healthy and exercising
Session 4 – Recovering From Slips What do you do if you have a cigarette? • A slip is a one-time corrected mistake • A relapse is going back to smoking • The difference between a slip and relapse is within your control.
