Creating A Safe Tribe • Confidentiality is MANDATORY • Wear nametags at the beginning • Allow for discussion • Avoid putting people on the spot • Facilitate and manage the discussion • Respect Each Other • Begin and end on time • Share feelings as feelings and not as fact • Agree to disagree • Welcome feedback and share it • PRAY-for your group members regularly

What do you want your participants to walk away knowing at the end of each day? • Study your material • Know your audience • Have an introduction planned • Plan your discussion • Have a conclusion in mind • Put yourself in the material • Stick to a schedule • Create a safe environment to share

Pray for Wisdom When he/she won’t take a breath? • God, what are you doing in this person’s heart right now? • Father, help me to hear what she is really saying • God, what kind of response do you want me to make? • Ask specific questions • Ask specific people • Do not make eye-contact • Interrupt and redirect • Ask for help • Pray for the person & continue
