  2. The Transport Plan Why does Sky need a travel plan? • To comply with GLA and TfL targets related to H1 planning permission • To effectively manage restricted parking • To respond to staff needs to recruit and retain best employees possible • To reinforce Sky’s green credentials

  3. Transport Strategy OverviewMain issues Why? Legal requirement related to planning application for Harlequin 1 building to reduce the number of car parking spaces on site by 536 by 2016 What are the main issues? • Increased occupancy of Campus leading to increased demand for parking • Many staff live far away and/ or work on shifts making the alternatives unviable Strategy To facilitate voluntary behaviour change for Sky people who can most easily change behaviour, so that those who have no alternatives can travel to work by car

  9. The Cycle Centre • The Cycle Centre was opened in September 2008, and is operated by WiZZBiKE, a local bike retailer. The cycle centre provides: • Free bike maintenance and repairs for Sky cyclists • Sales of bikes, parts and accessories • Advice

Harlequin 1 • A high-tech building employing 800 people from our Osterley campus. • Harlequin 1 - sustainable landmark broadcast facility • The new building will provide studios, technical, and operational space for people in Broadcast Operations, Sky Sports, and Broadcast Technology. • Post-production and technical spaces are in the centre with office space wrapped around the building to allow everyone access to natural daylight, fresh air and great views across all floors. • It's set to completely change both the way our people work and the scope of content we deliver.
