What our day is like… 7:40-8:008:00 – 10:00 10:00 - 10:45 10:45 – 11:45 11:46 – 12:16 12:30 – 12:50 12:55 – 2:00 2:00-2:20 Unpack, Agenda, Morning Warm Up ELA(Writing, Language Arts, Reading) Specials- Split class rotations Content- Social Studies and Science Lunch Recess Mathematics Prepare for dismissal

  5. Classroom rules… Be a positive role modelAlways try your best Raise your hand and wait to be called on Respect yourself and others Keep a book in your desk

  6. Reward system… Behavior Bucks and Green tickets Students will receive “Behavior Bucks” for appropriate behavior and for their classroom job. The class is allowed to go to the ‘store’ and buy prizes about twice a month on Fridays. Students may save their behavior bucks for later.

  7. Reward system…Marble Incentive Every time the class receives a compliment, a marble will be added to the jar. When our vase is full, the class will vote and schedule a celebration of their choice.

  8. Be a Star! • Everyone starts each day on 3 (ready to learn) • Opportunities to move up to a 4 (way to go!) or a 5 (outstanding effort) Opportunities to move down to a 2 (make better choices please) or a 1 (teacher choice/ note home to parent/ problem solving sheet)

  9. Reward system…Golden Ticket Incentive Golden tickets are given out by the cafeteria monitors. Mr. Hill counts tickets earned by grade level for… TheGolden PlateAward Students will vote to select a celebration. Winner holds the plate for one month.

Set aside a time to complete and check homework. • Structured homework time if possible • Complete homework in the same location with supplies at hand • Partner read with your child and ask good questions. • Help them finish books! • Go to the library often! • Minimize TV and video game times • Support the 20+ minutes per day readingplan. • Ask for additional help.
