  6. Shirt manufacturer Example: A machinists output per day Performance indicator: Increased profits and market share

  7. Double glazing retailer Example: Sales targets achieved each week Performance indicator: Increased profits and market share

  8. Customer service call centre Example: The number of customers dealt with per hour Performance indicator: Customer satisfaction ratings

  9. School Example: Student retention and achievement, the number of students staying on and passing their exams Performance indicator: Examination league tables

  10. Coach company Example: percentage of coaches running to timetable, number of passengers carried Performance indicator: Customer satisfaction, poor performing companies may lose their franchise
