Basic Background • Guns of all types bought back in East Palo Alto • WHAT IS A GUN BUYBACK? • Grand total of 400 guns turned in to authorities, in just under 3 hours • Three police departments (Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and East Palo Alto) teamed up with a local non-profit organization (Protect Our Children, Inc.) to coordinate the event

  3. WHO was involved? • This affects everyone who lives in Palo Alto and anyone in the surrounding areas. WHAT exactly happened? • These guns were being bought back because the owners never legally registered them • The police and city are attempting to make the city more safe
