Afterlife • Life is a test for the Day of Judgment (a trial from Allah) • Humans will be tested with loss and gain • Poverty tests faith during times of trial and avoiding the sins of hopelessness and dishonesty • Becoming rich is a test of pride, whether one will show generosity and mercy toward others

  3. Afterlife • There is no reincarnation • Failing in a human endeavor is nothing compared to failing to please Allah, and there is no second chance • Quran’s description of the torments of hell are among the most terrifying words ever committed to paper
