Source 1 From a newspaper report ROBBERYMr. Free, of No. 157, Fenchurch-street, was on Wednesday night robbed of a red leather purse, 9 sovereigns, 26 shillings and £6 HOUSE-BREAKING On Monday night between 6 and 7 o'clock, the house ofMr.Edward Powell, was entered by smashing the front kitchen window, and a wooden box stolen. The thieves were two boys, who escaped, each about sixteen years of age, and both of them wearing hat. The dwelling-house of Mrs.Hardcastle, was broken into and between two and three hundred pounds weight of green and black tea, four lumps of sugar, a tea spoon, and a pair of silver reading glasses stolen.
Source 2 From a newspaper report HOUSE-BREAKING On Sunday night a bank was entered by using fake keys, and a large amount of money was stolen. A Reward of One Hundred Pounds is offered for any information which leads to the conviction of the thieves. The following is a description of the persons suspected to have committed the crime: One of the persons is about five feet eleven inches high, of about thirty years of age, black hair, and a beard. He was dressed in a black coat, black trousers, white tie, wellington boots, and had an old grey coat. The other is about thirty years of age, five feet seven or eight inches high, slender made, sandy hair, and was dressed in a brown coat, grey trousers, and had a red silk tie around his neck.
