  4. Why am I focusing on M.I? • MW—IEP • Counselor, mom, dad, principal, and me(teacher, not intern) • Gifted and Talented • OCD • Dyslexia • Generalized Anxiety Disorder—504?? • Super social • Super disorganized • Super kid

  5. Do you remember the M.I.s? • Logical –mathematical • Musical • Linguistic • Bodily-kinesthetic • Spatial • Interpersonal • Intrapersonal • Naturalist Yup, I’m drinking this guy’s kool-aid

  6. But Wait!!! There’s more?!? • Spiritual • Existential • Moral

  7.   10. When are we going to use this??? • Well, maybe never…. • Establish a context for students----Activate prior knowledge • Develop application—knowledge is okay, memorization not always…(Blooms Tax.) • Just play “the game” to meet your goal.

You tell me….. • For what it’s worth, Here are my thoughts… • Understand your clients strengths for employment purposes. • Understand their strengths for psycho educational purposes. (CBT-Homework) • Take a strengths based approach to providing services.
