  4. What does VPMembership Do? • Builds club membership • Increases member satisfaction • Prepares the Semiannual Membership Report • Attends and participates in Executive Committee meetings (of club officers) • Attends and votes at Area Council meetings

What does VPMembership Do? • Attend District-sponsored Club officer training • Arrange for a replacement if unable to attend club meeting • Prepare your successor for office • Set Standards for your office e.g. mine: • Attend every Club meeting • Have guest orientation packets at every meeting • Get contact info for every guest esp. via guest book • Follow-up with every guest within 24 hourse.g. personalized Email or phone call • Have dues structure, application forms, and a way to sign-up new members at every meeting • Have a “loaner” Basic Manual for every new member the same day they join

What does VPMembership Do? • Set standards for your office e.g. mine: • Conduct induction ceremony for every new member within one month of their joining the club • Induction ceremony presents a Membership Pinto every new member • Every new member assigned a mentor (by VP of Ed) • Match every International Membership Contest with a club membership contest with prizes for 1st-3rd places • Celebrate every member’s achievements(half-way to CC, CC, AC, CL, ANYTHING) • Attend every Club Executive Council • Attend every Area Council • Attend Club, Area, and Division Speech Contests

  7. Membership Goals • Every club should add at least one new member per month • If your club has fewer then 20 members, your goal should be to have a minimum of 20 members by year-end (end of June).

  8. Growth Strategies • Put on a great meetingYour meeting is your best sales tool • Get guests there to see it • Make guests feel welcome, involved • Orient guests to the meeting • Follow-up with guests after the meeting • Invite guests to return • Invite guests to join

  9. Growth Strategies • Promote growth benefits to current membership • Promote Toastmasters benefits to others • Hold at least two membership contests • Offer recognition

  10. Transform GuestsTo Members • Personally welcome guests and introduce them to other members • Explain benefits, tailor to their needs • Vote in new members • Process their application • Welcome new members into the club

  11. Guarantee MemberSatisfaction • Contact absent members • Conduct surveys • Distribute evaluation forms
