  21. Strategic Direction Committee • The 2010 Strategic Direction Committee, chaired by Eric Schaudt, will be convened in March. The Board recommended that the Committee consider continuing to explore the following during its discussion • Non-traditional APICS markets (industries, corporation size, expanded definition of operations management, level of member/customer, etc.) • Redefining or expanding our business model to promote growth • Expansion of international marketplace • Expansion of collaborative relationships (ERP vendors, channel partners, competitors, etc.) • Innovation

  22. Distance Learning

  23. Distance Learning • The Board authorized staff to pursue an expanded relationship with a current distance learning provider of APICS courses. The goal of this expanded relationship is to provide centralized access to synchronous, asynchronous, and blended e-learning for our customers and channel partners.  • A taskforce comprised of Board members is now responsible for reviewing the original recommendations from the International Subcommittee of the VOC and the District Managers presented in October 2009 and making recommendations to the Board as appropriate. These recommendations will be related to the terms and conditions of partner use and possible revenue/expense sharing of the distance learning system.
