Part 2: Goals (cont.) • FCAT Reading Goals are the same • Level 3, 4 and 5, Learning Gains, Learning Gains of the lowest 25% • Change: • Florida Alternate Assessment (FAA)goals mirror the FCAT • Level 3 = FAA Level 4, 5, 6 • Level 4 and 5 = FAA at level 7 or above • Learning Gains and lowest 25% aae/dlb

  10. Part 2: Goals (cont.) • Goal 5.A.: New Waiver Component: Replaces AYP • Ambitious but Achievable Annual Measurable Objectives (AMO’s) • This is a six (6) year goal • Baseline is from 2010 – 2011 • Concludes 2016 -2017 • Reduce achievement gap by 50% aae/dlb

  16. Expectations for July Seminars • Prior to: • Use last year’s SIP as your rough draft • Refer to the SIP Resource Guides for curriculum updates • For Barriers and Strategies ONLY • Elementary: • Bring your FCAT data for the last 2 years • Breakout by grade level and teachers aae/dlb

  17. Curriculum Expectations (Secondary) Secondary READING 1. FCAT Reading scores for 2010 -11 and 2011-12 2. Student learning gains of individual reading teachers for both years 3. Discovery Reading data for the 3rdprogress monitoring period– by school and individual reading teacher, if possible. aae/dlb

  18. Curriculum Expectations Secondary WRITING 1. FCAT Writing scores 2009-2010-2011- 2012.  The current writing rubric applies to all 4 years; this year’s results were surprising because of a greater emphasis on rubric components. We should be able to determine how this year’s scores line up with previous years. • If you would like to trace your 9th and 10th grade teachers’ success, you may want to print from IDEAS: the Progress Monitoring results . • We can look at how the teachers understand the scoring process. aae/dlb
