Does your vote really count? Answer after you watch this Campaign contribution research on Jennifer Brunner for the 2006 campaign for Ohio Secretary of State Is Jennifer Brunner Honest? You decide Research provided by the Westlake, Ohio, Glenn Beck 912 meetup group
In 2006, Jennifer Brunner was elected to the office of Secretary of State in Ohio In the States, this office most often, controls elections In 2006, 5 states were targeted by Democracy Alliance with something called “The S.O.S. Project” There are now 34 democrat secretaries of state, 9 more are targeted in 2010
In 2006, Jennifer Brunner raised over $2,200,000 to run for Ohio Secretary of State Why so much money to run for a secretary of state office? As you will see newly formed left wing organizations developed a strategy to change elections in America. Iowa, Nevada, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Ohio were all targeted by these groups, giving millions to candidates that would do their bidding. All 5 offices changed party affiliation. Jennifer Brunner received over $300,000 from unions and union locals in 2006 She received campaign contributions from 454 lawyers for over $220,000 Jennifer Brunner received over $300,000 from the Ohio Democratic Party. The money donated to the the ODP, was donated by some of the same groups that donated directly to her. She was provided with over $360,000 in campaign contributions from herself, her family, and her family’s law firm In the rest of the country, the average total amount raised by a candidate for secretary of state was $275,000

Before we move on with Jennifer Brunner, it seems appropriate to explain, just a little, how the corruption is perpetrated. It begins with a complex system of small groups of folks that have an agenda for America that none of us want. The republicans are every bit as corrupt as the democrats. They each, just have different agendas. The diagram to the right is a “Muckety Map”. It shows relationships and connections between people (pink) and organizations (blue). What I can’t show you is the extent that these relationships permeate the system. member Large Contributor
On some of the colored squares you can see a small plus sign. This expands the relationship of that person or group further. It would take thousands of slides and hundreds of hours to view the intricate fabric of these connections, so I will only show you two. Yes just two, and you will see how the money moves through the system and corrupts our elections. Hundreds of small organizations have been created to funnel the main pool of money. It is then handed to people to contribute to candidates. The candidates are interviewed by these small entities. If they want the money, they have to play ball. member Large Contributor
Let’s talk about EMILY”S List for a few minutes. Emily’s list purports on their web site to be “dedicated to building a progressive America by electing democrat women….” It gave $50,000 to Ohio democrat candidates including $11,000 to Jennifer Brunner “Catalist” is an organization that exists “to nurture a vibrant, growing, progressive community” by maintaining and using a high tech database of information on every American of voting age. member Large Contributor
Do you remember “America Votes” from the Democracy Alliance slide? Well, Emily’s list is a member of “America Votes” and if you remember, was founded by Cecile Richards who is now Nancy Pelosi’s Dep.Chief of Staff. America Votes has three large lobbying firms spending millions to pass legislation and gain influence over candidates. Now watch how little Susie Buell fits in to the program Major fundraiser Large Contributor member
Little Susie is the sink of the operation. The money comes in through the faucet and goes out through the drain. Our innovative “campaign finance reform” created a maximum contribution of $10,000. Both parties create these complex organizations, with hundreds of members, hundreds of employees, and hundreds of contributors that are given the money and then told where to send it. This way candidates that are slated to win get millions of dollars funneled to them. Is there a quid pro quo? Why would you go through this much trouble? You decide. This is only a very small strand in the giant web of corruption that’s overwhelming our political system. Large Contributor member
Oh, the tangled web we weave….. There was a large contributor to Jennifer Brunner that seemingly had no connection to these organized groups. His name is S. Daniel Abraham. He has a truly American story, being poor and is now the founder of Slim-Fast. He lives in Florida now, but is from New York. It seemed his only interest was freedom and security for Israel and other Jewish causes. Then why give $10,000 to a secretary of state candidate in Ohio? Watch this: Mr. Abraham is a large donor of the “Birthright Israel Foundation” Have you ever heard the name Marc Rich? He also is a donor to the “Birthright Israel Foundation”. He was prosecuted and convicted of tax fraud by Rudy Guiliani. His lawyer was Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney’s former chief of staff. And he was pardoned by Bill Clinton. Another of Mr. Rich’s attorneys was Jack Quinn, former chief of staff for vice president Al Gore Now, guess who arranged the pardon? Then U.S. attorney……now… Attorney General, Eric Holder Coincidence? You decide.
Here are some other state races for the secretary of state office and how much money was raised. In 2006 Jennifer Brunner raised $2,266,079 in campaign contributions to run for secretary of state. She had three opponents who combined, raised $2,058,000 in campaign funds for a total of $4,324,079 (3 candidates) Idaho $364,000 (4 candidates) Wisconsin $112,460 (4 candidates) Arizona $851,614 (6 candidates) South Carolina $345,617 (3 candidates) Kansas $427,525 (6 candidates) All together the five states targeted by the S.O.S Project raised $8,942,002 Within all the states that have elections for a secretary of state (38) the average amount each candidate raised was $275,354. In the 5 states targeted, the average amount raised was three times the national average and Jennifer Brunner had over 8 times times the national average.
Be patient, just a few more of Jennifer Brunner’s large, out of state contributors and who they are Of the 192 individuals and organizations that gave more than $2000 to Jennifer Brunner, 54 of those contributors were from another state. Leland Fikes, Dallas,TX, $10,000, Another Democracy Alliance partner. Since 1999 his charitable foundation has given $1.2 mill to Texas Freedom Network another organization founded by Cecile Richards, Nancy Pelosi’s dep. chief of staff. He also funds Planned Parenthood of Texas which Cecile Richards is the pres. Philip D. Murphy, Red Bank, NJ, $10,000, Trustee of Center for American Progress, and national finance chair for the DNC. The Center for American Progress is funded by George Soros and Herbert Sandler Moveon.org, Berkley, CA, $10,000, Another organization Funded by George Soros and Herbert Sandler. Moveon.org is also a member of America Votes Deborah and Andy Rappaport, Woodside, CA, $20,000, Founders of New Democratic Network, another organization funded by Democracy Alliance
Be patient, just a few more of Jennifer Brunner’s large, out of state contributors and who they are “21st Century Democrats”, $10,000, Run by Mark Lotwis, a democratic operative. Lotwis also gave $25,000 to Richard Cordray, county treasurer, who then gave $5,000 to Brunner and $89,000 to the Ohio Democratic Party and dozens of other Ohio Candidates This one was really difficult to dig out….Kim Lund, Minneapolis, MN, $10,000, Works at Mindsharp, an education org., Kim lists her occupation as “homemaker”. She is a contributor to The Minneapolis Foundation. She also has her own $25,000 self-directed fund called the Kim Lund Fund at the Women’s Foundation of Minneapolis and another $20,000 self-directed fund at the Democracy Fund. The WFM passes out big grants in conjunction with TMF through the Democracy Fund, which is a community organizing fund that provides grants to dozens of community groups including ACORN . The Minneapolis Foundation is funded with $30 million from Robins, Kaplan, Miller, and Cerisi Law Firm. And guess where they get their money? Would you believe $6.6 billion, yes, billion with a B, from the Minnesota tobacco settlement. Is this convoluted or what?
Be patient, just a few more of Jennifer Brunner’s large, out of state contributors and who they are Gerard and Lilo Leeds, Boston, MA, $10,000, Founders of Alliance for Excellence in Education, has two lobbying firms representing 244 fund raising organizations. The lobbying firms have as an advisor, Ben Nighthorse Campbelle, a former Senator. Swanee Hunt, Cambridge, MA, $5,000, Sister of Lamar Hunt owner of the Chicago Bulls Norman Hsu, New York, NY, $3,000, Convicted of illegal campaign finance bundling in 1992, skipped bail and was a fugitive for 16 years. Caught in 2008, now serving a 3 year jail sentence. “Keeping America’s Promise”, Washington D.C., $5,000, An $8 million contributor to 12 democratic senators and 43 democratic congressmen. Receives some funding from Robins, Kaplan, Miller, and Cerisi law firm, yep, the same one that gave $30 million to the Minneapolis Foundation who helps fund ACORN.
…..And Just for fun…… Theresa Heinz Kerry, Boston, MA, wife of Senator John Kerry and probably a real close pal of Jennifer Brunner, gave $10,000 Herb and Marion Sandler, Oakland, CA, billionaire financier, sold their World Savings S&L holding company to Wachovia for 24 billion just before the crash, it’s now worthless and Wachovia is no more. They’re really smart people I guess, Jennifer is lucky to have them as friends. They managed to scrape together 6,000 bucks George Soros, Billionaire businessman, from New York, NY, reached into his pocket for some change and could only find $2500 for Jennifer And last but not least, Barbara Striesand, Actress from Hollywood, sent Jennifer a grand and a DVD of Funny Girl
A.C.O.R.N. Ties Now, to the whole purpose of this convoluted money machine, and why secretaries of state are being targeted Karyn Gillette, development director of Project Vote was paid $21,250 by the Brunner Campaign to consult Project Vote, an affiliate of ACORN contracts with ACORN to conduct voter registration drives. In 2008 Project Vote turned in 160,000 NEW voter registration cards Election results: Jennifer Brunner-2,104,010 other candidates-1,819,188 A loophole is created in Ohio voter law to allow voters to register and vote at the same time. Jennifer Brunner issues directive to all boards of elections to mandate all new registrants to be given ballot when they register. Law suit is stopped by Ohio Supreme Court and over 200,000 unverified ballots are counted. Jennifer Brunner appeals judge’s decision to force secretary of state to provide mechanism to verify voter registration cards GOP sues to stop tactic and verify registrations before vote is cast
Commentary Its been interesting doing this research on Jennifer Brunner. She represents everything wrong with our leaders. Whether you agree or disagree with Jennifer Brunner on issues, you must believe that this much money is not being given, without some expectation of certain behavior. At best, its unethical to take money from these groups and at worst, its illegal to take money from individuals that the money doesn’t come from them, but from billionaires trying to destroy America. It would be bad enough, if a public servant was taking money for contracts or perks, but what you are seeing happening in this presentation, is a concerted effort to use money and power to dramatically change America. This change is not about going from a conservative government to a liberal one, this is a change that will destroy the America we all grew up in and love so much. Americans of all stripes must come together to stop the government and the global corporations from bringing America to her knees. We sincerely hope you will become involved in helping to save our country. Join a 912 group, a tea party, or any other grass roots organization that can help to elect good people, with values and principles, that will fix the problems that have been created by the largess and corruption in government. Its not to late! Share this presentation with as many as you can, because the first step is to educate and inform an apathetic electorate.
