  5. System Evolution • Objectives were • Strengthen the operational chains and prepare historical products • Improve the monitoring and the KPI in partnership with WP17 • Reinforce interoperability with external projects especially SeaDataNet2 and EmodNET-PP … • Make the INS-TAC more visible on the MyOcean Central Information System (M-FTP, WMS is coming) • Main achievements are • The link with SeaDataNet has been specified and implemented • INS TAC portal has been upgraded to add a new branch for historical product • INSTAC data are visible from EmodNET-PP portal • Main difficulties encountered • Connection to the MyOcean viewing service MyOcean2 First Annual Meeting – 17-18 April 2013

  6. Contribution to Quaterly report % good data per parameter and per day Geographical coverage Time coverage per type platforms per region Per parameter and region time/depth coverage

  9. Production Evolution • Objectives were • Sustain the service with a number of interfaces with National providers and a volume of observation that increase. • Integrate historical data at regional scale • Main achievements are • About 2800 platforms are collected and distributed daily by the in-situ TAC, from 10 to 400 platforms at regional scales • More than 80% are available within less than a day from acquisition • The quality of the distributed data is monitored • The 6 REProcessed regional products are available in their V1 version • Main difficulties encountered • MyO and SDN planning didn’t agreed • Interfaces need to be improved between SDN and MyOcean… MyOcean2 First Annual Meeting – 17-18 April 2013

  10. Near Real Time products

  15. Time Schedule MyO2 SDN2 Common specifications, selected parameters, definition of QC, aggregation and analysis procedures Data from SDN2 have to be received (early enough to perform the scientific assessment on the T&S product and deliver in time to the modellers) Sept 2012 SDN release of “raw” aggregated Dec 2012 FEB 2013 First Version observation products have to be ready 1° QC feedback to RCs MyO Alerts Apr 2013 Release of V1 AGGREGATED DATASET QC feedback to NODCs and MyO + reply to MyO Alerts Sept 2013

  16. Partnership with SDNII • Historical Data provision • T&S data extracted from SDN network in December 2012-January 2013 • Data validated using ODV by AWI and split in MyOcean regions packages • Data transmitted to SDNII WP5 coordinators February-March 2013 • License : SDN is clearly mentioned in the MyOcean License as well as in the regional REP product description s • An update process is defined for next version of the REP products

  26. Lessons learned The interfaces need to be improved as presently we are missing important metadata SeaDataNet This partnership is a good opportunity for SeaDataNet to also improve the quality of its data We aim at having an update loop with SeaDatanet to upgrade the REP products probably every 2 years in the future

  27. First period summary and next steps The NRT service is stable at properly monitored with a good contribution of ROOS providers in some regions , progress to made in others The REProcessed regional products are born but there is additional validation activities to be carried on before they become “adults” Contribution to the quarterly assessment is a bit tricky for in situ product but contributions are proposed MyOcean2 First Annual Meeting – 17-18 April 2013
