Progress Update on LED Control and GUI Integration for PIC Project

As of July 6, 2010, we have made significant advancements in our LED control project. The system now allows us to set LED voltages to loop through with precise output controls, including adjustable start/stop specifications and user-defined delays. The time resolution has improved significantly, enhancing performance from 3 ms to 25 µs. However, we aim to enhance our data storage capacity from the current 50 data points to Keith's target of 250. We've successfully tested two PICs with USB connectivity and made progress on the GUI for data management. Next steps include coordinating the GUI with the PIC, ordering the PCB, and finalizing the MCA GUI for testing.

  2. Progress • PIC code for LED: • Right now, we can set LED voltages to loop through; output starts/stops when specified; delays a user-specified amount of time • Time resolution improved from 3 ms to 25 us • Need to improve storage – Keith wants around 250 data points, we have 50 now • Tested 2 PICs with USB connection • PCB outline • GUI progress: • ASCII file running, saving HK to file in format specified by Keith, all HK information = set up • Started constant updating

  3. Next steps • Test GUI with PIC together • Order PCB • Get MCA GUI working  testing
