Progress Report on MCA GUI Functionality and Testing - July 7, 2010

On July 7, 2010, we successfully opened the MCA GUI, but encountered difficulties locating the 15V supply. A review of the MCA user manual was conducted to troubleshoot the issue. The GUI and PIC systems displayed accurate HK ADC measurements, but the voltage measurement conversions require further development. Fixed voltage settings were consistently operational, and we successfully processed a 250-line ASCII file with the system. Next steps include connecting the MCA for testing, ordering a PCB, and enhancing the frequency timing in the PIC.

Progress • Able to open MCA GUI, but we couldn’t find the 15V supply • Looked at MCA user manual • GUI + PIC: • ADC is reading HK measurements, but voltage  measurement conversions need to be worked out • Fixed voltage settings still worked • Successfully ran 250 line ASCII file w/ system • PCB of present tested system created, checked

  3. Next steps • Hook up MCA  testing • 15V supply? • Testing circuit with MXS/MCAorder PCB • GUI: test constant updating HK • PIC: improve frequency timing
