Space dogs Marvelous journey into space • The dogs that went up into space had special-made suits to keep them safe. • In the 1940’s dog space jumps began for Russia. • A Russian dog named Laika helped make human space travel possible she was one of the testing animals used Laika was frightened at first because she was not use to lifting off in a tight area. But, later she calmed down, barked, and eat food out of her automatic dispenser. Even though her cabin area was extremely small Laika still could stretch.ButUnfortunely, she was never to return. After, orbiting to earth for exactly a week courageous and intelligent Laika pasted on. • 2 Russian companion dogs named Strelka & Belka were the first dogs to orbit the earth 18 times and return safely to earth. Belka paid a visit to the Moscow radio station and her barks were broadcast arcross the country of Russia.
The intelligent chimps and monkeys and their obligations in space • The first flight in was assigned to a energetic chimp named Ham • Can you believe that more than 30 chimpanzees voyaged from Africa to enroll in the space training sessions. • There was a chimp named Enos, he was very angry when he took flight it was very confusing because he never went at the speed of 8 kilometers per second. That is really fast!!! Enos’sobligaton was to fly in a capsule that would later carry humans to space. • When Enos was behaving well he would receive bannana flavored tablets from his automatic dispenser. • Shortly after his amazing experience in space Enos died of natural causes.
more intelligent animals support pioneer space travel • Turtle, cats, quail, and 2 spiders named Anita and Arabella also helped. • Anita and Arabella were transported into space to see if they would still be able to weave their webs in 0 gravity and they both were successful. • In the 1960’s cats did space jumps for France. • Let’s not forget all the animals that made human space travel possible! • Animals were the very first pioneers into space!
What I personally learned about space travel • I learned that anything is possible and that animals are very important to life and the world!!! They help us do a lot of things like they produce food to us to eat!!!
Vocabulary • Space Jump means- to rocket up and rocket down for a short period of time! • Pioneer means- to be the first of something • Space Capsule means- a round figure that hold or carry person or animal safely into space! • Automatic Dispenser means- A device that works by its self and provide something.
