  2. Nouns are words that name people, places, things, and animals.

  3. Some nouns name a special person, place, thing, or animal. These nouns are called proper nouns, and they begin with a capital letter. Alabama Sam New York City

  4. People often have special titles that show respect for who they are or for the work they do. When a person’s special title is written with their name, use a capital letter at the beginning of the special title. Let’s look at some special titles. Dr. Malek Officer Roddam Mr. Vance Mrs. Talton Principal Russell

  5. When you write, it sounds better to use people’s names and special titles. The officer helped me. Officer Roddam helped me.
