  2. What are e>ie Stem Changing Verbs? RIVAS Stem changing verbs, also known as “boot” or “shoe” verbs, are verbs that have a change of a vowel when conjugated. This vowel change occurs in all the forms except the nosotros and vosotros form. For example, in the verb pensar, the e changes to an ie in all the forms except the nosotros and vosotros. to think Pensar = ________________ yo pienso pensamos nosotros(as) pensáis vosotros(as) tú piensas piensa ellos, ellas, uds. piensan él, ella, ud. index
