  2. What is Angular Cheilitis? Angular Cheilitis is a condition where the corners of the mouth become red, swollen, and cracked. It is caused by inflammation and can be painful or irritating, especially while eating or talking. The condition may affect one or both corners of the mouth. It is not contagious but can be persistent if the underlying cause is not treated.

  3. Causes of Angular Cheilitis Fungal or bacterial infection (like Candida or Staph) Vitamin deficiencies (B2, B12, iron) Excess saliva from drooling or lip licking Poorly fitting dentures or braces Dry weather or cracked lips Health issues like diabetes or weak immunity

  4. Risk Factors of Angular Cheilitis Wearing dentures (especially ill-fitting) Poor oral hygiene Frequent lip licking or drooling Nutritional deficiencies Diabetes or weakened immunity Cold or dry weather
