  1. Ladder of Success Goal-Setting Activity There are 10 rungs on this ladder, representing 1 week of 2nd Qtr. Develop a goal for each week by answering the questions below & writing your goal in a COMPLETE SENTENCE on the appropriate rung of the ladder. DIRECTIONS: Top Line – Write your Full Name & add an “’s” Bottom Rung – Week 1: What can you do to make sure your brain is ready to return from Fall Intercession? Next Rung – Week 2: What improvement can you make to your attitude (thinking) that will improve your success at school? Next Rung – Week 3: What improvement can you make to your behavior (actions) that will improve your success at school? Next Rung – Week 4: What improvement can you make to your in-class participation (what you do in school) that will improve your success at school? Next Rung – Week 5: Identify someone you will go to in order to get help you achieve your attitude, behavior & in-class participation goals. How can this person help you be successful? Next Rung – Week 6: How can you make use of Mrs. Crozier to help you be successful in Qtr 2? Next Rung – Week 7: Identify one way you can be more well-balanced so you can be successful. Next Rung – Week 8: Identify something that makes you feel happy. How will doing this make you more successful at school? Next Rung – Week 9: What grade would you like to earn for the First Semester? Top Rung – Week 10: What grade do you need to earn for Qtr 2 in order to reach your First Semester grade goal? Hint: Qtr 1 & Qtr 2 grades are averaged to get your First Semester grade. DUE next class if not finished TODAY! Worth: 30 pts! Use at least 4 colors!

  2. Mrs. Crozier’s Ladder of Success Week 10: I need to earn an “A” for Qtr 2 to achieve my First Semester goal. Week 9: I want to earn an “A” for my First Semester grade. Week 8: Playing sports makes me happy. If I feel good about myself, I can be more successful at school. Week 7: I should spend more quality time with friends I don’t get to see often. Week 6: I can see Mrs. Crozier before or after school or go to Science Learning Center to get help. Week 5: I will go to my dad if I need help with my schoolwork because he is very intelligent & will be patient with my questions. Week 4: I can raise my hand more to participation in warm-ups & discussions. Week 3: I will treat my lab group members, especially the ones I don’t necessarily like, with respect by listening to their ideas & not arguing. Week 2: I will try to think more positively about going to school & learning. Week 1: I will make sure that I eat breakfast before school or on my way to school so that I can think.
