4. COCAINE Coke, charlie, snow, C, crack • white powder, which is snorted or injected • long-term users can become dependent on the way cocaine makes them feel, and experience withdrawal symptoms when without the drug

8. CANNABIS pot, hemp, grass, ganja • leaves, stalks, seeds of dark grass • can be rolled in a joint, smoked on its own in a special pipe, or cooked and eaten in food • users feel relaxed, talkative and giggly

9. LSDacid, trips, dots • squares of paper, often with a picture on one side, which are sucked or swallowed • effects are known as a 'trip' and usually start after 30-60 min. and last 8-12 hours

10. MAGIC MUSHROOMS shrooms • these mushrooms are eaten raw, dried, cooked in food, or stewed into a tea • similar effects to LSD • fly agaric is more likely to cause feeling sick, vomiting

11. HEROIN Smack, brown, horse, gear, junk, H, jack • brownish or whitepowder that is smoked, snorted or dissolved and injected • sometimes the heroin is so pure that it may lead to overdose which can be fatal
