  1. STHI PM Improvement ProjectSpare Life Span Database Initiate ver 1.0 W43.4

  2. BACKGROUND Our MA and USDT is comparable with CD1 but in specific week 33 and 39-40, we have outlier. The USDT is abnormal high with average from 3 hours to 12 hours to recover machine to PROD. After investigate error, most RC link to defect of sensitive/ high moving speed part mechanical: worn out; shaking, collision…. From vendor input and other site experience, those kind of spare have defined “recommend to use” duration. w34.2: STH006 Y-axis rotor worn out/ Down time for 1 shift w44.3: 11 hours downtime due to defected Y-axis motor brake

  3. Back ground:

  4. Problem statement • High USDT to recover machine for corrective action to recover machine to PROD. • Each spare has life span to use, fail risk is high if using time is over it. • No effective way to prevent tool down time from over life span spare. • From actual data, defect part can impact to PM warranty due to defect part can’t detect during PM by checking step. • Not yet ready system & database to tracking spare life span, current now base on each ES experience. Predict time frame that part has high risk to fail. Active way in replace part during PM and ENG tool time. TARGET

  5. Proposal + Build Up database tracking for: + Replacement date + Life span of each spare + Web-based application for ES/CMB key in spare replacement date  pull down report each month for analysis. + Triggering system for part need to replace during PM or ENG tool time. + Process for ES/ CMB on replacing new spare part based on system trigger. Help needed: + Support from IT for software infrastructure for solution ( Ex: web-based app and triggering system. ) + Database for spare life span ME owner on this.
