  1. What is the Paw Print Program? • Green office certification program for county Extension offices • 4 consecutive levels of certification • Action items on how to be more environmentally sustainable (e.g., turning off lights when not in use, updating mailing lists to reduce returned mailings, etc.)

  2. Ready to get started? • Choose the level of certification that your office would like to achieve. • Team up with your co-workers to complete the action items. • Once action items are completed, fill out the online application form. • To be considered for certification of a level : • 75% of action items for that level must be completed • At least 75% of all office personnel have taken the individual actions on the checklist needed in order to conserve energy and water, reduce waste, and improve air quality.

Categories Education Energy Events and Meetings Maintenance Participation Purchasing Transportation Waste Reduction Water • Level 1 • Events and Meetings • Take advantage of technology, such as email and instant messaging. When applicable, email messages to participants, and post items, such as flyers, presentations, brochures, and fact sheets on the Internet. • If providing a meal, purchase items, including condiments (sugar, sweeteners, and creamers) and water, in bulk. • If you are hosting an event, encourage participants to bring their own travel mugs or water bottles. • If you are attending an event, bring your own travel mug or water bottle. • Use your CES nametag as opposed to creating a new nametag.

  5. Drawing for a FREE Rain Barrel! All CES Offices that have completed an application by July 1stwill be entered into drawing for one FREE rain barrel!
