GEIA-927 Purpose • Facilitate the exchange of data concepts between product data domains (e.g. systems engineering, product life cycle, mechanical, etc.) for complex systems by harmonizing disparate standards into a single object model • Primary elements • Entity/Attribute Mapping between domain standards and the GEIA-927 Entity Model • GEIA-927 Entity Model (lexical and graphical)

GEIA-927 Integration Process • Entities from a standard or product area are organized into a series of relationship diagrams. • The diagrams are parsed and converted into a format suitable for analysis. • Each entity and its related attributes are abstracted from an application specific level to a general level to fit into the GEIA-927 model. • Entities are analyzed considering existing concepts, superseded concepts or new concepts to test fit into the GEIA-927 model. • Upon completion of analysis, entities, attributes and entity to entity relationships are added to the GEIA-927 master model.
