  3. Typeface is the formal word for a group of characters that are unified by specific and consistent visual properties. S SS S • A type family refers to all the varieties of a particular typeface such as Arial Extra Bold, Arial Bold, Arial Narrow etc. What is Typeface?

  4. Font – a computer-generated typeface for a specific point and size. For example- Times New Roman 12 point is a font, What is Font?

  5. Old style – originated from the traditional methods of printing. (Times New Roman, Garamond, Book Antiqua, Baskerville Old Face) Types of Fonts

  6. Modern – fonts that change according to trends. Commonly used for movie posters, shows and events. (Bauhaus 93, Avengance, CollegiateHeavyOutline) Types of Fonts

  7. Script – fonts that have curves and are like calligraphy. They suggest a theme of elegance, formality, or luxury. (Script MT Bold, Brush Script Std) Types of Fonts
