  1. Dare to Multiply Myles Bancroft July 13, 2014 Series: Truth or Dare

  2. 14“Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s new creation: 15“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But… (cont’d) ~~Revelation 3: 14-19

  3. …since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to… (cont’d) ~~Revelation 3: 14-19

  4. …buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. ~~Revelation 3: 14-19

  5. Parable of the Sower (Soils)

  6. Hebrew Prayer for Bread Baruch Atah Adonai, EloheinuMelechhaolam, Hamotzilechem min haaretz. Our praise to You, Eternal our God, Sovereign of the universe,Who brings forth bread from the earth.

  7. Matthew 13: 1-9 Later that same day Jesus left the house and sat beside the lake. 2A large crowd soon gathered around him, so he got into a boat. Then he sat there and taught as the people stood on the shore. 3He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one:

  8. Matthew 13: 1-9 “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds. 4 As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them.

  9. Matthew 13: 1-9 5 Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have any deep roots, they died.

  10. Matthew 13: 1-9 7Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants.

  11. Matthew 13: 1-9 8Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!

  12. Matthew 13: 10-17

  13. Matthew 13: 18-23 18 “Listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: 19The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts.

  14. Matthew 13: 18-23 20The seed on rocky soil represents those who hear a message and immediately receive it with joy. 21But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word.

  15. Matthew 13: 18-23 22The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced.

  16. Matthew 13: 18-23 23The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

  17. Look!!! Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. ~~John 4:35 (ESV)

  18. What’s the Difference? • The Sower was the same • The Seed was the same • Time & place was the same • The weather was the same The SOIL was the difference
