CPEA 2013 • Total of 2140 candidates from three participating territories • Grenada • Anguilla • Dominica (5 pilot schools)
Internal Assessment -Teacher Tests • Improvement seen in the development of tests for the classroom • A wide range of concepts were tested across the subject areas. • Different test formats were used such as multiple choice, structured and essay questions. • Questions included appropriate stimulus materials
Internal Assessment – Project Work • Projects were generally well presented and covered a wide range of topics. • Creativity and initiative evident in the presentation of the projects • Project activities included field trips, interviews, research and job attachments
Internal Assessment – Book Report • Evidence of creativity by students as well as some variety in the material selected • Approaches used in the expression of personal responses, letters, interviews, poems and illustrations were interesting and appropriate • The variety of books read served to support the development of reading and enhanced learning and expression
Internal Assessment – Writing Portfolio • There was evidence of planning and drafting • Some good writing pieces submitted but much more needs to be done to fully develop the writing process across the four genres.
CPEA –Overall Results • Raw scores reported in 2013 with an overall maximum of 500. *Only 5 schools piloted
