  3. Goal 1: Performance Measures Strategy 3: Assist AASHTO in the development and monitoring of national safety performance measures. Strategy 4: Assist states in establishing sustainable safety performance measures, targets, and management systems.

Goal 1 Strategy 3 • Development and monitoring of national safety performance measures • Define and promote safety measures • Propose and approve fatality and serious injury measures • Support AASHTO comparative performance measure reports • Promote measures in own agencies • Develop implementation plan for serious injury measures

  5. Goal 1 Strategy 4 • Establishing sustainable safety performance measures, targets, and management systems • Compile and share national data • Share states’ individual practices and share knowledge related to national measures

  6. Fatality Measure • Standing Committee on Performance Management (SCOPM) • Reached consensus on 5-year moving averages of fatalities and serious injuries • SCOHTS resolution to support these measures? • Updated charts in meeting program book
