  2. Future Tense Endings • To say what will or will not happen in the future, use the future tense. Add these future tense endings to the infinitive form of the verb. • é, ás, á, emos, éis, án

  3. To form the future tense you do what to the verb? • Drop the ar, er or ir • Keep it in infinitive tense • None of the above [Default] [MC Any] [MC All]

  4. To say I will go in the future tense, you would say… • Iran • Iremos • Ire [Default] [MC Any] [MC All]

  5. To say They will be in the future tense, you would say… • estaras • estare • Estaran [Default] [MC Any] [MC All]

  6. Ejemplos • Nos veremos mañana despues de desayunar. • We will see each other tomorrow after eating breakfast. • Estaremos listos para el examen de este capitulo. • We will be ready for this chapter exam. • Iré de compras después del colegio. • I will go shopping after school.

  7. Irregulars • These verbs have an irregular stem in the future tense. To conjugate them, add regular future-tense endings to their stem. The future of hay is habrá (there will be).

  8. The future tense conjugation for querer if the subject is ella is… • querran • querra • querre [Default] [MC Any] [MC All]

  9. The future tense conjugation for decir if the subject is ellos is… • diran • dira • dire [Default] [MC Any] [MC All]

  10. Also used to… • The future tense is also used to say what is probably true or likely to happen. • Ana estará contenta porque esta aprendiendo a bucear. • Ana must be happy because she’s learning to scuba dive.

  11. ejemplos • En El Paso no podrás esquiar. Tendrás que ir a Nuevo México. • In El Paso you won’t be able to ski. You’ll have to go to the New Mexico. • Yo le diré que tendrá que ir a la oficina del colegio. • I would tell him/her that he/she should go to the school’s office.
