  3. Physical Characteristics • Large brick and concrete building that holds 3 ice rinks. • 2 of the rinks are official NHL sized ice surfaces. While the 3rd is official Olympic size. • The NHL rinks are mainly used for Ice Hockey. • The Olympic rink is mainly used for figure skating and speed skating. • The Ice House is also home to a pro shop, café, gym, library, and several conference rooms.   5. Why I Love this Place? • I started playing Ice Hockey when I was 4 years old, and have continued to play year-round since then. • I began playing hockey at this rink 14 years ago. I have played on 3 club team that play out of this rink, and my high school also played out of this rink. • It has been a second home to me for most of my life. Thompson

What do I do at the Ice House? • The first time I wentto the Ice House, I participated in “learn-to-skate” lessons. • As I grew older, I would spend Friday nights there with friends during open, public skates. • When I began to play competitive Ice Hockey, this Ice House was the home rink for every team I was on. Including my High School team. • I have spent hundreds of hours at the rink between practices and games throughout my life. Thompson

  9. My High School Years • I played on my high school Ice Hockey team for 4 years, making it to the Championship in each year.   11. Assignment Reflection • This project was a great introduction into PowerPoint presentation. It was the first time I had ever used smart art, charts, tables, and sounds in a PowerPoint. Thompson
