Comparison of Total Accumulated Precipitation, Graupel, Snow, and Rain in WRF 3.3.1 Simulations

This document analyzes the total accumulated precipitation, graupel, snow, and rain simulations conducted using Trevor’s WRF 3.3.1 framework over a specified period from 0230 to 1700 UTC. The simulations were run without recompiling the executable file and aim to evaluate the performance and outcomes generated from copying Trevor's original setup. The analysis includes results from multiple precipitation types for the GSLE domain and highlights the impact of compiling on simulation output accuracy.

  18. Conclusions • Even though I copied Trevor’s wrf.exe over and ran it without recompiling, there is no way to know if he recompiled sometime after he created the control simulation.
