  3. Reading Quiz Chs. 10-12 • Holden meets three women in the Lavender Room. What does he admire about 1 of them? • Who is the first person that Holden showed Allie’s glove? • Holden was almost in a movie short once. Why did he refuse? • Holden goes to a club after leaving the Lavender Room. What instrument did the main musician (Ernie) play? • Why doesn’t Holden like Ernie?

What do you do about it? • Use stories from your own life to support your ideas. • Use your own voice – informal, personal tone. • Pay attention to grammar and punctuation – they are there for a reason. • When you talk about a new topic, form a new paragraph. • Remember that your writing still has to be school appropriate • If things get too dark, I have to take it to the guidance office. • At least 1 page (hand written in your journal)
